Paul van Dyk – The Essential Mix

Posted in

Hello everyone!

These weeks I was (and still I am) very busy, and didn’t get the time that I would like to make a new The Night Daydream mix, or something around it. However, I’m now here to share with you a set that I made last month, and didn’t posted it yet.

That’s my second “BiO” mix, this time featuring one of the most respectful DJs/producers in EDM scene: Paul van Dyk! This guy has been on the trance scene for more than 20 years, and was one of the precursors of this style. Most of things we have now on trance music we owe to guys like Paul van Dyk.

So I decided to make a mix to prove to you why he is so respected and acclaimed on music scene. I’ve put together 17 of his greatest productions and they’re more than enough to convince you!

What you’re waiting for? Listen to this set and find out what’s PvD ;-)

Featured tracks:

01. Paul van Dyk feat. Second Sun – Crush (Original Mix)

02. Paul van Dyk – Another Way (Original Mix)

03. Paul van Dyk – Forbidden Fruit (Giuseppe Ottavianni Remix)

04. Paul van Dyk feat. Saint Etienne – Tell Me Why (The Riddle) (Club Mix)

05. Paul van Dyk – We Are Alive (Breathless Mix)

06. Paul van Dyk feat. Vega 4 – Time Of Our Lives (PvD Club Mix)

07. Paul van Dyk – Talk In Grey (PvD Remix)

08. Paul van Dyk feat. Hemmstock & Jennings – Nothing But You (Club Mix)

09. Paul van Dyk – For An Angel (PvD E-Werk Club Mix)

10. Paul van Dyk feat. Lo-Fi Sugar – Castaway (Original Mix)

11. Paul van Dyk – Out There And Back (Original Mix)

12. Paul van Dyk – Face To Face (Original Mix)

13. Paul van Dyk – Animación (Original Mix)

14. Paul van Dyk – Otro Día (Original Mix)

15. Paul van Dyk – Pikes (Original Mix)

16. Paul van Dyk – Together We Will Conquer (Original Mix)

17. Paul van Dyk – Taking The Long Way (Original Mix)

Length: 1:29:51       Quality: 224 kbps @ 44100 Hz

It’s impossible to put all his great tracks in a 1,5 hour mix, but I think these 17 are special. Unfortunatelly, I wasn’t able to put some of his great oldschool stuff, such like the ones at the albums “Seven Ways” and “45 RPM”. Btw, I’m planning to do something good with them :)

The mix will start with lot of energy, with the PvD’s classics. As long as the time will be passing by, it will become more chill, peaceful headed, with great – but underrated – gems, that a lot of people still don’t know (take this chance!).

Download the full mix here:

I’m sorry I couldn’t make a preview to post it here, I’m so busy these days…

Anyway, I hope you can trust me, this set is filled with only top-tracks ;)

Thanks for the support, it’s so much appreciated :)

In this episode there’s tracks from the new Leon Bolier’s artist album “Phantasma” and the new Armin van Buuren’s “Mirage” – I really think Coming Home  is the best track in this album – and the brand new ATB’s Midnight Sun. Also, two tracks dedicated to the Love Parade 2010 victims, A World of Trance and In Love With You – both are beyond brilliant and wonderful. As Raul promised… An exclusive and unreleased track remixed by him in his alias “Breathe”: a great remode of Akira Kayosa & Hugh Tolland’s track called Surya. Thank you very much for this track, mate!

Here comes a minimix as a preview of the full-lenght The Night Daydream IV! (This is a PREVIEW!)
